Limited to 98 units per model year in the US, the Speedster Edition transforms the car into a two-seat roadster with a hard top tonneau system, accompanied by unique striping and badging, celebrating the 98th anniversary of founder Carroll Shelby's birth. Vehicle GalleryWill Ford make a 2023 Shelby GT500?There are a couple of catches, though: Ford will cut the 2023 model year short to make way for the seventh-gen 'Stang, and the Shelby GT500 will be discontinued for 2023. Ford spokesman Mike Levine confirmed the lineup changes to Motor Authority. The Mach 1 will be the range-topping Mustang model for 2023.
Is Super Snake faster than GT500?The Whipple supercharger gives the Shelby Mustang 825 horsepower—65 more than its Ford-built rival. A manual transmission is also available, an option the new GT500 lacks. But on the track, it was the GT500 that came out on top. It's difficult to say why the GT500 accelerates faster than the Super Snake.
How much is a Shelby GT500 2023?Pricing and Which One to Buy
The latter has an additional 20 horsepower (470 total) versus the regular GT model, and features performance equipment pulled from the Shelby GT500 that makes it more exciting to drive. Unfortunately, its starting price is close to $58,000, so we'd recommend the regular GT coupe.
How much is a Shelby GT500 Super Snake?The $133,785 base price for the Super Snake assumes that you're starting with a brand-new Mustang GT equipped with the 401A package, which costs $53,790. If you supply your own Mustang, the Super Snake package is $79,995.
