Were still not sure why this is. It certainly suggests that this is going to be the final season. Its like NBC isnt even trying to keep the show on the air anymore. You would think the network would want to promote a Thursday night series. It is a competitive night, after all!
Whatever the reason, we do get an idea of what to expect thanks to a synopsis for the episode. This one is interesting and could connect to a previous episode ofThe Blacklist Season 9.
An avenging angel on The Blacklist Season 9, Episode 4
The new episode focuses on a criminal who has a bit of a Robin Hood vibe. Hes stealing artifacts, but not to keep them for himself. This person is returning the items afterward. They were items that were stolen previously, so the Avenging Angel (both the title of the criminal and the title of the episode) is returning them to where they were originally stolen from.
Why would the new task force get involved? Its because this person is willing to do whatever it takes to steal the once-stolen artifacts. That includes putting innocent people in danger.
