From the dark times of the early 1990s, when many scandals, massive underfunding and extremely severe shortage of personnel tarnished the Forces' honour and image, to the current level of popular support for the servicemen and women (if not for the mission in Afghanistan itself) and the moral and financial support of the government, much has changed. The CF of today is strong, proud and ever dedicated to fulfilling its duty to the nation and its people.
