I've just finished installing Windows 10 and now I have no internet connection.
In device manager, when I got to the properties of the device it says 'device cannot start (Code 10).'
I've rebooted the PC, disabled and enabled the device and uninstalled and reinstalled it; but nothing has changed.
Could it possibly be maybe the drivers from D-Link are not yet compatible to work with Windows 10?
Are there any available solutions at this moment for this sort of issues either from D-Link or Microsoft?
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and could possibly give me some guidance as to what to do, if there is a solution. :)

A Wireless USB adapter ? Some of the adapters have low reception, and also the specs of the Adapter will help. Joined Jan 24, 2019 · 11 Posts
Is adaptor is causing problem? or Is it with changing the position of your system.
There is a floor in between the router room and the computer room. Here i connected to the wifi network(good signal)
and saw that my speed was extremely slow!!!!!!.I used my mobile in the same room and got good wifi speed 30-40mbps but in my computer i was getting 800kbps to 1mbps.I researched about this a lot here are some of the things i have already tried -
- Going to adapter properties then to Ipv4 and changing the dns to google dns
- Finding any other bandwidth controlling programs like Amd quickstream etc.
(found none)
- uninstalling adapter then restarting and installing.
- switching
to older adapter version that was written on the product box.
- Setting the wifi connection to metered.
None of these worked.

Oopsie, missed the name in the Title Thanks Joe ! Looks like the Range on the adapter is the issue, I've checked reviews apparently there is a drastic drop in performance when the distance is increased, this could be the reason for poor performance. We can either get a better ranged adapter or use a Range extender in between to boost the
signal.

Personally to be in the same room and get 30-40 Mbps wirlessly I don't consider very good depending on who your isp is, but then again how old is usb wifi card as they seldom last full strength beyond 2 years, you may just need a new one. If it is a desktop you have pci-e cards installed into towers I have always found get a much better signal and it occurs
to me if you are under or over the modem, how difficult would it be to run a wire through the walls to get a wired connection or move the router to the room your pc is in is another alternative. I don't care what claims the router makers make wireless is almost always disappointing unless the router is really new or no more than 2 years old and better quality. I have never seen a router sold under $100 more than 2 years old worth owning anyway. And I also have never seen signal extenders at any
price worth owning.
