Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town seed maker

This process takes a long time, but it's free.

As you grow and harvest crops in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, you’ll raise your “Fieldwork Level.” While you’ll start at Fieldworld Level 1, you can eventually reach Fieldwork Level 10, and you’ll unlock a variety of in-game bonuses and items as you go. For instance, once you reach Fieldwork Level 6, you’ll unlock a handy new machine that will allow you to create your own crop and flower seeds, rather than being required to buy seeds at one of the game’s stores.

The Seed Maker allows you to turn the crops and flowers you grow into seeds of the same quality. For instance, if you place a two-star Hibiscus flower into the machine, you’ll receive two-star Hibiscus seeds.

Before you can use the Seed Maker, you’ll need to build one for your farm. The Seed Maker recipe requires five Supple Lumber, five Gold Ingots, and 10 Wood Charcoal to build. If you’re like us, you may unlock the Seed Maker before you’ve unlocked access to Gold Ingots. If that’s the case, check out our guide that will teach you how to collect gold.

Once you’ve built a Seed Maker, you can turn crops and flowers into seeds. A single crop will generate two seeds of the same quality. That is, one Petunia will be turned into two Petunia Seeds, one Hibiscus will be turned into two Hibiscus seeds, and so on.

This process takes a long time to complete: 23 in-game hours. If you want to create lots of seeds, you may want to build multiple Seed Makers for your farm so you can generate multiple seeds at the same time.

Depending on how you spend your time during each in-game day, it may take you some time to unlock the Seed Maker at Fieldwork Level 6. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. There are 22 types of makers to obtain in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. All makers can be acquired through leveling your 12 Skills. You can also be given some makers as rewards through completing Lovett's Gourmet Requests.

Dimensions of Makers[edit]

Regular sized makers are 2x2 squares. Giant makers are 3x3 squares. While the giant makers take up more space, you can plan what you'll input into makers to maximize their usage in order to minimize how much space they'll take up on your farm. Ideally, you'll only need a few of giant makers as opposed to many of the regular sized ones.

Obtaining Makers[edit]

After you reach the required level in certain skills, makers will be craftable.

Brick Maker[edit]

Butter Maker[edit]

The Butter Maker automatically converts milk into butter. You must have a cow, goat or buffalo to obtain milk. Milk is also available for purchase at Norman's Groceries, but the milk he sells is of the lowest quality (

0). Butter is a necessary ingredient in many cooked dishes, particularly dishes in the desserts category.

Cheese Maker[edit]

The Cheese Maker automatically converts milk into cheese. You must have a cow, goat or buffalo to obtain milk. Milk is also available for purchase at Norman's Groceries, but the milk he sells is of the lowest quality (

0). Cheese is a necessary ingredient in many cooked dishes, especially in the entrées category.

Cloth Maker[edit]

The Cloth Maker automatically converts yarn into cloth. You must have a sheep, rabbit or alpaca to obtain wool or fur, and then you must process that wool or fur into yarn using the Yarn Maker. Wool and fur are also available at Olive General Store. Cloth is required to commission outfits and hats at Salon Ailes D'ange.

Condiment Maker[edit]

The Condiment Maker automatically converts rice, beans, and olives into condiments. Condiments are a necessary ingredient in many cooked dishes, especially as toppings.

Dye Maker[edit]

The Dye Maker automatically converts flowers into dyes. Besides using dye to change the color of decor, you can also use them to commission outfits, hats and accessories at Salon Ailes D'ange.

Essence Maker[edit]

The Essence Maker automatically converts flowers, wildflowers, and fruits into essences. You can use these essences to purchase perfumes at Nguyen's Flowers.

Honey Maker[edit]

The Honey Maker automatically converts hives into honey. Honey is also available at Norman's Groceries, but the honey he sells is of the lowest quality (

0). If you ship them, Comb Honey and Worker Jelly will be available the following day at Norman's Groceries for purchasing. Hives must be obtained from putting flowers into Beehives. The quality of the hives received depends on the quality of the flowers used. You can use honey in quite a few cooked dishes.

Ingot Maker[edit]

Jam Maker[edit]

The Jam Maker automatically converts tree crops into jam. Jam can be sold or used in cooked dishes.

Jewel Maker[edit]

The Jewel Maker automatically converts raw gems found in the mines into jewels. The deeper in the mines you go, the higher chance you have of discovering these raw gems. They can be found by hitting the ore veins on the wall with your hammer, digging up the sparkling mounds with your hoe, or defeating a baddie. Jewels can be shipped for profit, used as gifts, or used in commissioning accessories at Salon Ailes D'ange.

Lumber Maker[edit]

The Lumber Maker automatically converts logs into lumber. You can find logs by chopping down trees, or if you've shipped a type of log, they will be available the following day at Olive General Store for purchasing.

Mayonnaise Maker[edit]

The Mayonnaise Maker automatically converts eggs into mayonnaise. You must have a chicken or silkie chicken to obtain eggs. Eggs are also available for purchase at Norman's Groceries, but the eggs he sells are of the lowest quality (

0). Eggs are a necessary ingredient in many cooked dishes.

Powder Maker[edit]

The Powder Maker automatically processes coffee beans, cacao, chili peppers, wheat, and herbs into powdery seasonings. Wheat is a crop that can be purchased at Olive General Store, and Chili Peppers can be purchased in fall after shipping a wild Chili Pepper. Coffee Beans and Cacao are both tree crops, and can also be purchased from Olive General Store when they're in season. Oregano, Sage, Lemon Marigold, and Golden Rain Rosemary are available at Norman's Groceries after you ship them once. These ingredients are frequently used in cooked dishes.

Seasoning Maker[edit]

The Seasoning Maker automatically converts rock salt, peppercorn, and sugarcane into various seasonings like salt and pepper. Rock salt can be found on the beach of the second farm location to open up; sugarcane and peppercorn will grow in this same part of the map. These input ingredients are also available for purchase at Norman's Groceries after you ship them once. These seasonings are frequently used as toppings on many cooked dishes.

Seed Maker[edit]

The Seed Maker automatically converts crops and flowers into seeds. Olive General Store also sells crop seeds, and Nguyen's Flowers sells flower seeds, but some types of crops and flowers must first be shipped once after being found on your farm. Both stores only sell seeds for the crops and flowers that are currently in-season. Mutated or giant crops can be obtained with increasing frequency after improving either the quality of your field at the Shrine, the level of your fieldwork skill, or the quality of your seeds.

Seedling Maker[edit]

The Seedling Maker automatically converts tree crops into seedlings.

Spore Maker[edit]

The Spore Maker automatically converts mushrooms into spores.

Textile Maker[edit]

The Textile Maker automatically converts thread into cloth. Once you've processed grass by using the Thread Maker, you can place it in the Textile Maker. Cloth is required to commission outfits and hats at Salon Ailes D'ange.

Thread Maker[edit]

The Thread Maker automatically converts grass into thread. You can find grass by cutting weeds around your farm, or if you've shipped a type of grass, it will be available for purchase the following day at Olive General Store.

Yarn Maker[edit]

The Yarn Maker automatically converts wool and fur into yarn. You must have a sheep, rabbit or alpaca to obtain wool or fur. Wool and fur is also available for purchase at Olive General Store. Yarn is required to commission outfits and hats at Salon Ailes D'ange.
