I'm not the sort of person to plan in advance. I just take it as it comes.

I made it up. Is the take it equivalent to deal with it, play it by ear, take it on, or accept it?

You'd probably say take life as it comes (unless it was already clear that you were talking about life). If it doesn't mean life, we need to know what it is.
I don't think it's a synonym for your other suggestions.

I see. I meant things by the it. I think I feel what actions the take it covers, but I'm afraid I might be just thinking them up in my head for no reason, as I often do

You could say I take things as they come.
