Chevrolet is all-set to offer Super Cruise in its 2023 Tahoe and Suburban. However, it will be available with only the high-end Premium and High Country trims. To keep the lineup fresh, Chevrolet is also offering three new exterior colors and an optional accessory black grille with “Chevrolet” lettering for a bolder front fascia. However, we are not sure when the Super Cruise feature will be available on these SUVs, especially with supply chain issues.

Chevrolet is finally bringing Super Cruise, the industry’s first true hands-free driver-assistance technology for compatible roads in its large SUVs, i.e 2023 Tahoe and 2023 Suburban. However, it would be difficult for Chevrolet amidst ongoing semiconductor shortage. Several autonomous systems make use of high frequency semiconductor chips for calculations and processing. Chevrolet has not mentioned the exact date for the Super Cruise feature to be available in these trucks and it may be delayed to some extent.

The 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban will be available in LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier and High Country trims, with optional 4WD (standard on the Z71 trim). Chevrolet will also offer three new exterior colors: Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic and Radiant Red Tintcoat for keeping the exterior looking fresh. Plus, an accessory black grille with “Chevrolet” lettering will be available for the LS, LT, RST and Premier trims.

The Tahoe and Suburban will continue to be powered by three different powertrain options including a 5.3-liter V8 engine, 6.2-liter V8 engine and a 3.0-liter inline-6 diesel engine. The three engines offer an output of 355 hp, 420 hp and 277 hp respectively. All the three potent engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The 2023 Tahoe will offer a maximum towing capacity of 8,400 pounds, while the Suburban will tow 8,300 pounds (when equipped with the 5.3-liter engine and NHT trailering package)

For a more car-like comfort and driving experience, both the SUVs come with independent rear suspension. Also, Magnetic Ride Control is standard on Premier and High Country and is available on the RST and Z71. For better suspension performance in all driving conditions, Chevrolet Air Ride Adaptive Suspension on Z71 and High Country. Chevrolet has not mentioned the exact prices of the available features like Super Cruise, accessory grille or the Radiant Red (additional cost) color.

Chevrolet offers Super Cruise feature on the Silverado for an additional $2,500 and after the first three years an additional monthly charge of $25 will be levied for the Super Cruise subscription. The interior of both the large Chevrolet SUVs will feature a 12.3-inch digital configurable display on the LT trim and above. Similarly, a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen display will be standard on the LT trim and above. With Google built-in compatibility, access to all your favorite Play Store apps will be available. Chevrolet will also offer wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, while WiFi hotspot will also be available with additional subscription.

Chevy Safety Assist, suite of driver-assistance features will be standard, including automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, and auto high beams. Chevrolet will also offer up to 13 available camera views including transparent trailer, rear trailer view, PiP side view with the available Advanced Trailering System.
