This week’s biggest news from Ford is the addition of the long-awaited F-150 Raptor R pickup truck. It has a Shelby GT500-sourced supercharged V8 with 700-hp (522 kW) and now we’re getting more details about it and the rest of the F-150 lineup. A pair of new documents including the order guide and the 2023 price list has popped up online and we have all the details. Show
We knew yesterday morning that the Raptor R would start at $109,145 or about $37,000 more than the normal (can we even call it that?) Raptor with its 450-hp (335 kW) 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6. Now, thanks to posters on the F150gen14 forum, we know exactly which features come with that Raptor R package as well as other 2023MY F-150s. That includes a unique grille, a unique hood vent, black exterior accents, Code Orange tow hooks, Code Orange stitching on the doors, 17-inch forged aluminum bead-lock capable wheels, 37-inch all-terrain tires, and carbon fiber interior appliques. These guides tell us a lot more than just details about the Raptor R though. With a starting MSRP of $60,110, it might become known as the “poor man’s Raptor” in many ways. It’s already a very well known blend of performance and off-road capability so the V8 will only make life more enjoyable for those who enjoy a little more grunt. The very bottom of the pricing list is held by the F-150 XL with its $34,085 MSRP. Other notable changes include the deletion of the SuperCab from the Lariat trim and the addition of colors like Area 51 Blue, Avalanche, Azure Gray metallic Tri-Coat, and Hot Pepper Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. No significant changes occur across the lineup with regard to interior color, safety, security, Ford’s Co-Pilot360 technology, or mechanically aside from the addition of the new Raptor R engine. You can see the 2023MY Ford F-150’s detailed Price Guide here and the Order Guide hereon the F150gen14 forums, both in PDF format. Let us know in the comments below if these changes to the lineup are good or bad in your opinion. Do you like the Tremor with the Coyote V8 and is the Raptor R too expensive?

Bye bye AM radio. Does this mean the big antenna is gone?

Hmm this says no mechanical change but range increased by 10 miles on the SR. Anybody else think this is some sort of software update to reduce the buffer? Potentially coming to the 22 trucks as well? If you take the efficiency of how a extended range gets 320, then the standard range should
got 240. Was never sure how that standard range ended up with just 230.

Where does it say anything about Range. Numbers are TBD. First NameAndrewJoinedJul 19, 2021Threads 18 Messages795Reaction score1,070Location Sacramento Vehicles Ioniq 5 / XLT Standard

How the heck do they remove AM radio only? I can’t imagine there was a chip being avoided that removes a constraint. First NameErich

How the heck do they remove AM radio only? I can’t imagine there was a chip being avoided that removes a constraint. Unfortunately, I do not think so. I noticed that when I removed my antenna for the car wash that I did not have good FM reception until the antenna was reinstalled.

The antenna delete is responsible for the 10 mile range increase in the SR . (actually, it's from adding heated seats)

When can a 2023 Ford FAccording to sources familiar with The Blue Oval's go-to-market plans, order books for the 2023 Ford F-150 are currently scheduled to open July 18th, 2022. Meanwhile, production is set to begin on October 10th, 2022 at the Ford Dearborn Truck Plant and October 31st, 2022, at the Kansas City Assembly Plant.
How long is the wait for an ordered f150?Typically, it is currently taking eight to 10 weeks. If that sounds long, keep in mind that if you ordered a 2022 F-150 in November 2021, the wait times were up to 30 weeks in some cases.
Is Ford changing the f150 in 2023?The new 2023 Ford F-150 trucks might offer more standard technology as the release date gets closer. For now, we expect the standard technology to include pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and a rearview camera.
When can you order a 2023 f150 Raptor?Perhaps the most anticipated truck of the past few years, the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is about to be released into the wild. With orders for purchase opening on July 18th 2022, It's fair to assume that this 700hp beast of a Ford F-150 pickup will be a hot commodity once they begin to roll off of the production line.
