2022. Then production of those Maverick models will start on October 24, 2022. That’s only a two-month wait between ordering and production. However, you may have to wait a little longer to receive your truck, depending on your order’s production and delivery dates. Also, because these dates are months away, they are subject to change. The ongoing semiconductor chip shortage, supply chain problems, and transportation issues may cause delays. Ford experienced overwhelming demand for the Maverick. As a result, keeping up with current orders has become a struggle. Ford had to close orders for the 2022 model to catch up before production of the 2023 model begins. You can upgrade the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. With the Hyundai Santa Cruz, you get a 2.5-liter inline-four engine with 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo for 281 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. When properly equipped, the Maverick can tow up to 4,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,500 lbs. The Santa Cruz can tow up to 5,000 lbs and carry a payload of up to 1,906 lbs. What’s new for the 2023 Maverick? The 2023 Ford Maverick is expected to primarily be a carry-over model with a starting price of about $20,000. But we may learn about some juicy upgrades as we inch closer to the production date.
