performance when editing on a Mac with an ambient light sensor Ratings and Reviews Grown into a great editing program I've been using FCPX for ten years now as a busy, professional freelance film
maker. When it was released just over ten years ago it was massively derided by industry and Premiere pro became the industry standard soon after. But over the last decade I've watched as Apple has improved FCPX year by year until now where it's a very good, fast, intuitive program. I have worked with Adobe's PP alongside FCPX and I don't think there's much of a comparison with FCPX finally exceeding PP because FCPX actually works quickly and smoothly and best of all it's a one off cost instead
of adobe's ghastly subscrption model. I have infact abandoned Adobe compleyely now for all programs. FCPX is not perfect but it's very good and I love using it
Final Cut Pro !!! I have found that "Clean my Mac" running in the background will
slow down rendering in FCX’’ So turn it of and dont have it set to auto start when you turn your computer on. Well i find the new Final Cut X good to use and easy, i also have The old version of Final Cut Pro and this one gets the job done Quicker, would like to see more control over the sounds provided, Ring Shifter Ex like they had in Soundtrack Pro..that was awesome, would also like to see a good color station to work on my projects or more control over color in my projects. I find this
version clean to work with and renders far quicker and the templates are also good and Natually would like to see more of these added and i think sales would be greatly enhanced for this product.
Great product, if you want to learn it...
So… If you take the time to learn a new way of editing, it’s worth it. After a week or so of having the tiny pieces of your skull lodged into the wall, the edit becomes smooth and efficient. There are number of things and process’s you have re-learn. The magnet timeline can cause you headaches, along with fades and what seems like basic tooling options, but once you learn the short cuts, and actually read the manual, you’ll find that this product actually makes it easier. I do wish
they would stop changing the interface look… Just stick to one. I have to keep finding keys… Still, aggrovating as theat may be… here i am. Giving a positive review. Love how it renders in the BG. Stick at it. It’s worth it.
