N-sight RMM Troubleshooting

Description
- Unable to connect via Take Control
- Error: 'TeamViewer not running on partner computer'
Solution
- Issue can be resolved by resinstalling Take Control on that device
- Disable Take Control for an individual device on the Dashboard
- Login to the Dashboard
- Right-click on the target device in the North-pane and choose Edit Workstation or Edit Server
- Select Remote Access
- Change the Setting in the Take Control Configuration section to Off
- OK to save changes
- Right-click on the device in the North-pane and select Run Checks to communicate these changes to the device
- Once the checks have run, go to the Summary tab in the South-pane to ensure Take Control - Not Installed
- Remove Take Control (TeamViewer) and TeamViewer entries on the device:
- Login to the target device
- Open Programs and Features and remove any TeamViewer or Take Control entries
- Navigate toC:\Program Files (x86 if 64bit)\Advanced Monitoring Agent (GP if Group Policy)\featureres
- Delete all takecontrol_*_setup.exe files
- Open regedit
- Important: In line with best practice we would suggest creating a backup before making any changes to the registry
- Navigate to:
- 32bit: HKCU\SOFTWARE
- 64bit: HKCU\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node
- Remove all TeamViewer or Take Control entries
- Enable Take Control for an individual device on the Dashboard:
- Login to the Dashboard
- Right-click on the target device in the North-pane and choose Edit Workstation or Edit Server
- Select Remote Access
- Change the Setting in the Take Control Configuration section to On
- OK to save changes
- Right-click on the device in the North-pane and select Run Checks to communicate these changes to the device
- Once the checks have run, go to the Summary tab in the South-pane to ensure Take Control is shown as "Active"
