After I updated my XBone controller firmware, the game won't open at all. WTF. Can anybody help? RECOMMENDED: OS: Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8. ...what the hell? did u install direct11? i run it with windows partitioned on a mac book. runs smoothly with no problem. Also windows 10 here @DeathWantsMore, Is that seriously your solution? Install Windows 8? For one game? A. I don't think that's the problem, and B. If it is, that's still completely unnacceptable. @ConquerV Yes, I obviously have DX11. Even if I didn't beforehand, it's included in the game files and would automaticaly install itself. Amora 30 Thg09, 2016 @ 9:57pmHello, I'm playing normally on Windows 10 here, so it's not an OS problem. DirectX 11 isn't something that is 'installed', it's a resource built-in your video board, plus the game requires DX9 to run, so your video board is probably enough to run it (unless you're playing games in a toaster). First I would recommend going to <Steam install directory>/steamapps/common/Dynasty Warriors 8/_CommonRedist and run both DirectX/Jun2010/DXSETUP.exe and vcredist/2010/vcredist_x64.exe (vcredist_x86.exe if your OS is 32 bit). If it doesn't run, try updating your video board drivers and check the integrity of the game files (on Steam, right-click on the game on Library, go in Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache). If even then it doesn't run, press Windows + R, type dxdiag on the box and paste the System Info here, 'cause something is problem wrong there. Same here! At first I had the screen spinning problem.
