VLC opening window "too big"

When opening VLC player on windows 10, it opens too big. The edge of the window is out of screen - and the controls such as resize window by dragging, move by dragging, exit ful screen, minimize, full screen and x are out of screen. I tried to uncheck the qt setting resize to native size, but it doesn't work.
Uninstalling , reinstalling and updating doesn't work either. It's extremely annoying as it's impossible to toggle between opened windows.
Anyone with similar problem or a solution?

Right click the Windows taskbar and click "Lock the taskbar" to unlock it. Then drag it to one side, You should be able to resize vlc from there. Drag the taskbar back to the bottom again afterwards and lock it.

If it's still too big to reach the right hand bottom corner click the vlc icon on the title bar and then click "Move". This is give you a 4-headed arrow which you can use to move the window in any direction.

I have this problem too. Windows 10, VLC version 3.0.12 Vetinari
VLC opens full screen with the menu bar and video controls showing. No title bar is shown and I can't find a way to reduce the size.
VLC covers the task bar.
The only way I can view the Windows desktop is to quit VLC. This behavior is happening on two Windows 10 systems.
I can resize the window on Linux systems.

Is there a fix for this?

Did you even bother to read the post above yours??

An alternative method of resizing the vlc window is to click the vlc logo (the traffic cone) on the title bar and then click "Move". That'll give you a four-arrowed cursor which you can use to move vlc in any direction, but in this particular case upwards freeing the bottom of it from below the taskbar.

EDIT: additional steps to make it even easier. After clicking "Move" to get the four-arrowed cursor hit Ctrl + Up Arrow. This shows an outline of the vlc player which will move when you move the mouse. So just place it where you want and then click the left mouse button to exit and then resize it in the usual way.

There is no title bar visible and thus no traffic cone. I would post a screenshot if possible.
The very top of the screen has the pulldown menu bar containing "Media, Playback ...". Nothing above it but the plastic bezel of the monitor.

Short answer: press F11

I did a fresh default install of VLC on two Windows 10 systems and VLC starts full screen with no title bar.
I found another thread that mentions that F11 toggles the title bar on VLC. Pressing that enables the title bar and I'm able to move/resize as expected.

Ctrl + P to open prefs and checkmark "Show controls in full screen mode" if they don't appear. Save, exit and restart vlc.
