Apr 06, 2022 at 2:31pm ET Show We've caught a few 2023 Hyundai Palisade test vehicles out and about in recent months, wearing heavy camouflage to hide a forthcoming facelift. We still don't have full disclosure about the changes, but new teaser images from Hyundai take a big step in that direction. The final step comes on April 13, when the facelifted Palisade is scheduled to debut. As expected, the automaker's current design language will grace the front of the flagship SUV. The bold grille doesn't share the angles or the triangle inserts seen on the Tucson, but the theme is similar with thin wings at the top. On the Tucson, these corners are actually lights that blend with the grille, but that may not be the case here. Spy shots show cutouts in the heavy camo suggesting lights are there, but we've never seen them illuminated. save over $3,400 on average off MSRP* on a new Hyundai Palisade We have seen the vertical-oriented running lights, which arguably share center stage in these teasers with the grille. We've also seen the primary headlights located in the corner housings, though you can't see them in the teasers. Even with image levels pumped up in Photoshop, we're treated to a sea of black next to the L-shaped running light.

adjustable? The seats are hard? My wife & I were commenting how plush our Calligraphy seats are. And the Ergo Motion is great for the driver's seat. I was surprised how strong the massage feature actually is...was expecting some lame 80s vibrating seat😂 We changed the interval to 30 minutes from the 1 hr default so it would come on more! I have a 2015 Genesis also with Nappa leather seats, and I'd say our Calligraphy seats are more comfortable. Joined 10 mo ago · 150 Posts
Couldn't agree more. HDA2 is great and SCC "intelligence" generally seems much improved over my 2021 Calligraphy's version. I notice, in particular, the shorter delays in resuming speed after slowing and stopping to allow a leading vehicle to make a turn out of the lane ahead. My 2021 would remain halted until that turning vehicle ahead had cleared all lanes of a multi-lane intersection. The 2023 version only awaits clearance of one's own lane resulting in much less irritation for both yours truly and following drivers. One minor gripe would be the re-assignment of the steering wheel buttons. I do like the separate buttons for SCC speed and lane following, but "retraining" my thumbs has been a bit of a pain. On balance, I guess it will be worth the temporary annoyance in the long run. __ Joined 3 mo ago · 15 Posts

adjustable? I found before adjusting the Lumbar support (press it back to reduce) that the seats weren't that comfortable on my back. If sport mode doesn't change anything then perhaps your seatback bolster is set too tight too? But I don't find the seats hard - I think they're nice. The ergo motion (comfortable stretch) is a bit much for me but my wife loves it.

Will agree the Palisade has very good headlights, but I still miss the directional HIDs in my 2009 Genesis. I live in a fairly rural area of NJ with winding country roads, and you don't know what you're missing (up around the bend in the dark) until you don't have them anymore. 23 Calligraphy AWD Moonlight/Beige Joined 8 mo ago · 75 Posts
The seats are way better than the Infiniti QX60 Luxe. This is the first time in a few years that my right leg isn't having problems while driving, and the ergo motion - second setting is ah-maz-ing! I leave a few minutes early for pick-up at the HS, and just relax before the boys get in. So, so good. Joined 6 mo ago · 102 Posts
Never drove a car with directional headlights so fortunately I don't know what I'm missing. Compared to my other ride a 2009 Nissan Murano they are literally like night and day. Joined 7 mo ago · 43 Posts

the lower frequencies in the 2020 I had. Maybe it doesn't have the latest update. Check what you have, this is the newest update. It has the Quantum base. No Tubes! Although, I it doesn't have the "Haptic" for Lane Assist. Only the annoying beep beep sound. This is also a must in this vehicle, especially when you had it before. agree with the above... also most of the usb ports in the calli '23 are usb c with an awkward usb b in the coffee holding space. the wireless charger is also odd as i need to angle the phone to get it into place and squeezing my hand in there to place / pull out is a task. The seats get better over time... its been 30 days since I got my Emerald green '23 calli and the seats appear to be settling in. The ergo massage on the passengers side would have been a welcome addition as well. My passenger windows are hazy, initially i thought it was because of the way
the dealers tinted the glass but another user on the forum says he asked the dealer for a replacement and am waiting to see what happens. ACC and LFA work well, but forward collision assist at standard and late settings do not, it does not give a warning for a vehicle in front when it slows down or if a vehicle comes in on the highway and got a warning only once in the past 30 days. Not sure why ... A lot of car information comes up on the blue link app which they offered for 3
years but am guessing after that they are going to have a subscription model and charge us for it. I like the digital key when it works and maybe the valet mode tell me the car has gone out of the zone, but not sure what the geofence is for. 2023 Calligraphy - Burgundy/Black Joined 3 mo ago · 52 Posts

what the geofence is for. The USB in the cupholder area is type A, not B. But yeah, it's annoying that's it's different than all the other type C power ports. This is a fail on Hyundai's part since this one port is the data port for Apple Carplay & Android Auto, there's no technical reason it couldn't be type C, other than they would have had to engineer the different port since the wiring is slightly different. Having the Qi wireless pad, it's completely useless
having to plug in for Carplay and Android Auto. This a fail again on Hyundai not having wireless for their top of the line infotainment system when they have lower model cars with it. I got a Carlinkit wireless carplay/android adapter...works surprisingly well so that mostly resolves this issue. Also agree the Qi pad is sorta a pain to get your phone down in there correctly. I get they are using "available space", but it should have just been centered on the left side of the bin. I
haven't really noticed it, but my wife & son also said the back windows are hazy? I'll have to look closer. The tint in the back rows is factory applied, unless you wanted the dealer to install darker tint. The highway driving assist will only give audible warnings if it thinks the car will be imminently crashing. Having it alarm every time someone pulls in front of you would be highly annoying when it just needs to slow down a bit to maintain the set distance. Bluelink: yes,
after the 3 yr included with the car, it reverts to a paid subscription. Not sure we will keep it since the only real useful feature is the remote locking/starting from the app and the key fob can remote start too. I only kept Bluelink for my 2015 Genesis since it was the only way to remote start my car. Vehicle tracking is nice, but knock on wood my car doesn't get stolen! The geofence feature is really for child drivers. Example: kids are permitted to drive to school and work, but if they go
somewhere else, the car/app will tell you. Joined Jun 5, 2019 · 1,756 Posts

Having it alarm every time someone pulls in front of you would be highly annoying when it just needs to slow down a bit to maintain the set distance. That is not what HDA does. What you're describing is
front collision alert/avoidance, which is on regardless of HDA. HDA improves upon Smart Cruise Control, only on roads that Hyundai deems it suitable for (as per the built-in navigation database). With HDA, you can set the Smart Cruise Control to the speed limit of the road you're on and it'll automatically adjust it for you when it changes. But if you're not exactly at the speed limit, it doesn't work. It also lets the car auto-resume driving in stop-and-go traffic for up to 30s, instead of 3s
on non-HDA roads. On some models (maybe on the 2023 Palisade, I don't recall), it automatically slows down for curves. It's not clear if it improves the Lane Following Assist or allows hands-off driving for longer on HDA roads. Bluelink: yes, after the 3 yr included with the car, it reverts to a paid subscription. Bluelink also allows the nav to actively re-route you around traffic jams, which I can personally attest works perfectly. Waze had nothing on it (except
warning of cops) in locations where I've used it. And it allows for search of points of interest over the internet instead of only the nav system database. Joined Jun 17, 2021 · 22 Posts

What is the difference between the 2022 and 2023 Palisade? From a performance perspective, the 2022 and 2023 Palisade versions are identical. Across all trim levels for these model years, the Palisade draws 291 horsepower from a V6, 3.8-liter engine. This system includes an eight-speed auto transmission with front-wheel drive. However, all-wheel drive is available.
Does the 2023 Palisade have fog lights?Compared to the outgoing Palisade, the mid-cycle refresh has a more upright nose, with a bigger grille, and new bumper. The headlamps, DRLs, and fog lights have been redesigned as well, and the hood and fenders had to be readapted in order to make the visual upgrades work.
