Avene sunscreen review

Today I’ll be reviewing Avene Very High Protection Fluid Sunscreen SPF 50+. Avene sunscreens are little expensive and I never thought of buying any of these. But I got the one because it was 40% off. Like most of the Avene products, this sunscreen also contain thermal spring water that soothes skin and has anti-irritating properties. I don’t know much about this ingredient. Besides, this sunscreen contain anti-oxidant (pre-tocopheryl + thialidine) and 4 UV filters. Well, let’s see how’s the Avene High Protection Fluid Sunscreen worked for me.

Avene Very High Protection Fluid Sunscreen SPF 50+ Review And My Experience

Avene Very High Protection Fluid has a medium lotion consistency. It glides on easily over moisturized skin. But over dry skin, it would be little hard to blend. I have experienced it many times. In case, you want to use it over dry skin I would suggest using a beauty blender to get even finish. Personally, I don’t like this sunscreen because it caused red patches and bumps on my face. Also, this sunscreen will easily trigger your skin if you have sensitive or damaged skin. I did not find it sensitive or damaged skin friendly.

I have tried to make it work so many times but after every use, I end up having red patches on my both cheeks. In addition to this, it also gives slight burning sensation. This sunscreen leaves a matte finish and slight white cast that will easily appear on deeper skin tones. Furthermore, this might not feel moisturizing enough for dry skin or during dry climate. You will need a moisturizer underneath.

Moreover, the best part of this sunscreen is, its water-resistant properties. It does not get washed away with water easily. I have tried few water-resistant sunscreens before but this one seems the best. One can apply this before swimming but keep in mind that it might look whitish over deeper skin.

Since it does not work over my facial skin, I have finished the sunscreen using it on my neck hands and feets whenever I go out. It creates a nice protection against UV rays and prevent tanning too. But you have to reapply it frequently for the best protection.
