The South by Southwest Music Festival has revealed the first round of performers for its 37th annual celebration, taking over Austin, Texas, from March 13-18, 2023. Like previous years, the festival will host multiple events spotlighting the 191 emerging talents on the list — with this being the first of several announcements for its planned showcases that will span six nights. To perform at SXSW 2022, visit the Showcasing Artist Application page. Applications are open from Tuesday, June 29, 2021, with an early deadline of August 26, 2021 and a general deadline of October 7, 2021. More information is available in the Music Showcases FAQ.

SXSW does not charge our artists to perform at official showcases, and we operate on a strict invitation-only policy. We do not condone these solicitations, and actively do everything we can to protect artists from being victimized by “pay-to-play” scams.
SXSW has announced the full list of over 1,400 artists scheduled to perform on 79 stages, as well as numerous music industry professionals who will be participating in the SXSW Conference.
