Hello, I don't usually buy Ubisoft games because of Uplay, but I got this game as a gift. After downloading 33GB I am having a hard time starting the game - my computer starts to big picture mode. Unlike the others, they just happen to be "kind" enough to allow customers to purchase the games on Steam, even if they still have to register and play them using Uplay. I've been using it since AC2 came out and to be honest, I really like it. The rewards are cool and even on my relatively weak PC, it does not impact performance at all.. I don't have any technical issues with Uplay, but I'm struggling to understand why this game only allows one save slot. Is it due to UPlay or a more sinister attempt to force parents to buy multiple copies for their kids ?? uPlay is great, only had to download 6GB of Syndicate and I'm already playing. Great interface, good rewards, and uses very little resources - what's not to love? Anyone who's not a kid will remember the day Steam was released and how much people hated Steam at the time. Smok3y Uplay's looks have changed a bit and to me looks way better than it did a couple of years ago, like others have said on here, the rewards system on there is pretty awesome, least you work to get those rewards with xp and all that. Pretty rewarding for myself too, and I'm sure it is for others, so I don't see the big fuss with Uplay these days. eri0o As I said, this is a computer meant for gaming, so no Explorer, just Steam Big Picture, using a 360 Gamepad to play games (until I can grab one Steam Controler). Uplay is ok I guess, but if I could get rid of it and have a more seamless experience, I would. But I understood it's not possible now. Can it be at least totally hidden? I may have agreed that UPlay is crap 1 year ago, but it is actually quite nice now. They upgraded a lot of aspects to it and it is quite decent. Of course there's still room for improvement, but it's far from the crap that we had 5 months ago or 1 year ago. |
