I received the mini pyt hair straightener from my December boxyluxe. (It was available in the luxe and the base box). This straightener is perfect for travel and perfect for a quick touch up. The temperature goes up to 400, which is pretty good for a mini straightener. I wouldn’t use this for my whole head (if it weren’t for touch ups), as I have long hair. February 22, 2019 Ontario, Canada Works well for it's size I got this small hair straighter in a Boxy-Charm subscription box a few months ago and finally decided to use and bring it with me when I went away for the weekend. Firstly, it's cute and very small so it was easy to pack in my suitcase as it took up little room. Lastly, it works well on my hair for it's size. Both times I used it, I blow-dried my hair first and let it rest for an hour or so before I straightened it. Due to it's size, it took a lot longer to straighten my hair, I had to tie it up, only do small sections at a time, and I had to go over each section a couple of times - the whole straightening process took way more time than I would normally spend on it. In rating it, I took into consideration that I have long thick hair that has a big of a wave to it, I think this would be perfect for someone with short hair, for that reason I rated it lower. January 30, 2019 Quebec, Canada Way too small I like this straightener for short hair styles. That being said; this tool is so small. it is the width of my first finger. Like I said good for short hair or maybe travel. However this is too small to be of any use to me and my long thick hair. It also does not have many functions besides on and off. Hidden Gem found at a Kiosk This is the hidden gem I came across walking through the mall one day. The lady at the kiosk was trying really hard to sell it to myself and my sister, but we didn't bite the first time. We went back to the mall on another day and she offered us a crazy good deal if we bought 2. So, of course, I couldn't pass it up and immediately went to the ATM and bought one for myself and my beautiful little sister. We couldn't have been happier with this product. It has worked so well for straightening AND making gorgeous curls. Not only does it perform well, but we both still have them til today. This year my son and my flat iron both will be 8 years old. Crazy I got so much use out of it. It's very safe for your hair, I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed. Updated On: January 18, 2019 I have long, thick, wavy (almost curly) hair. Hawaiian hair can be difficult to work with but this straightener worked great. With the right hair products, your desired look can be achieved. Anyone who has had a negative experience with this product probably did not use any hair styling products along with it, which is kind of necessary if you want your look to hold. I bought this at a mall kiosk after trying it out and was very impressed by how well it worked. However, the results didn't last very long. My hair started become wavy just after an hour. I have thick curly hair and believe this straightener is better suited for someone with a smoother hair type. I also don't believe it is worth the price tag. The kiosk was having some sort of a sale and I believe I paid just under $100 for it - 5 years later our relationship is still going strong! Disclaimer - I am not someone who uses this product every day, but usually on the weekends or when going out.
