Which countries could go on the amber-plus list? Amber nations at risk of losing quarantine-free travel

Initially, the only exception to the new amber list rules was France, after it was announced that quarantine rules would remain in place there because of concerns over the spread of theBeta variant, which was first identified in South Africa.

However, this was scrapped in the travel announcement of 4 August, while rumours of a new amber watchlist failed to come to fruition after an outpouring of criticism.
