How to request the desktop version of a website in mobile Safari on iPhone, iPad: iOS 15 & Earlier

The guide is useful for all iOS supported devices involved iPhone 5/5S/Se, iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 6S/6S Plus, iPhone 7/ 7 plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus, iPhone X, XS Max, XS, XR, 12 Pro/Max and iPads.

iOS 15: Request Desktop Site on Safari iPhone and iPad

1: Launch Safari Browser on iPhone or iPad.

2: Open Any Website Url just like a normal in Safari.

3: New Safari Layout, your Address bar will appear at Bottom of the screen, just Go there and Click on AA icon next to website URL. and see Option Request Desktop Website. After the refresh the page, your Mobile Browser will see Desktop view. Repeat the same step for Exit from, and Enable

Request Mobile View.

4: if you changed the Browser Tab Design and moved to Top then, Tap on AA icon at the top right corner of the screen. Now You can see the Request Desktop Website option. Tap on it to convert and see a live preview in the same tab.

5: Now Revert to mobile view, Repeat the steps above, and Tap on Request mobile site.

Process for View any Mobile site to desktop Site is common for Google Chrome iOS browser. Just Tap on more [Three dots button] and see the Option Request Desktop Site by scroll little down.

iOS 12 or Earlier Mobile Devices

  • Step 1: Go to Safari on the iPhone or iPad and Open it.
  • Step 2: Now, Open any of a website within the browser.
  • Step 3: Here, I opened msn.com. See below image for iPhone safari view.

There you can see less and compressive view of options and contents compare to the desktop screen.

  • Step 4: For see, Desktop view option tap and hold on reload button, until you see an option for Request Desktop site.
  • Step 5: The website will reload once again, and you can see the desktop view on the internet site from your safari browser.

Type Google.com in Browser, Launch Web page on Browser, First time it views in Mobile theme. After that tap on Chrome Settings at upper left corner. From menu >Request Desktop site.

Still, there is no other choice for the revert from desktop view to mobile view on Safari iPhone or iPad with iOS. But you can do that with clearing cookies,cache stored on the browser as a cache.

Go to the Settings > Safari > Advance > Website Data.

See the list of URLs you visited on safari browser.

From the top right corner, Tap on Edit.
